When working for Hozelock, the UK's leading brand in gardening products, an innovative water irrigation system was designed from concept to manufacture.
The micro irrigation category is categorised by a proliferation of SKU's. A large number of components in multiple packaging formats create a busy and confusing retailer environment.
The aim of the project was to create a differentiated and rationalised range which offers the consumer advanced functionality and reduces complexity associated with the category.
The project involved inspiration taken from competitor product analysis, with ideas taken forward to prototyping and rigorous testing.
Far East suppliers were managed effectively to deliver the project through tool trial, sample build and production.
